Other asbestos-related cancer

While mesothelioma, the most common form of cancer associated with exposure to asbestos, the presence of asbestos fibers in the body can lead to a multitude of other very serious and life-threatening forms of cancer, including lung cancer (see below), gastrointestinal and cancer of the rectum cancer.

According to the National Cancer Institute, the exposure to asbestos can also your risk of developing kidney, throat, esophagus and gallbladder cancer. In addition to cancer, asbestos is also associated with breast, ovarian and prostate cancer, as well as leukemia and lymphoma.

Lung Cancer

In addition to mesothelioma, lung cancer is the most common form of cancer associated with exposure to asbestos.

Another dangerous cancer caused by exposure to asbestos is a lung cancer, two types: lung cancer and lung cancer. The latter is the most common type, accounting for almost 80 percent of the cases. Detection of lung cancer is determined by the appearance of cancer cells under the microscope of the samples.

The symptoms of lung cancer include:

* Cough and chest pain
* Problems breathing or shortness of breath

* Changes in the size or color of sputum

* The presence of blood in the sputum

* Weight loss, fatigue and headache


As in the case of mesothelioma after exposure to asbestos, lung cancer symptoms appear many years after the first exposure to hazardous mineral. Anyone who suspects they have been exposed to asbestos and experienced symptoms of lung cancer, the advice of medical physician.
